Club Voyager Series – Singapore Part II

Can you guess this belongs to which part of Singapore? If you know the owner of this farm, you will definitely know which part of Singapore I went to while visiting his farm.

Qian Hu Fish Farm

Qian Hu Fish Farm

Looks very familiar right? I visited the place 2 years ago together with the community center. At least I can save the trouble of taking so many bus rides and the hassle of waiting for buses to bring me to the next destination. It is very rare to see farms in Singapore as it is a small place.

Koi Fishes

There are free shuttles from Chua Chu Kang MRT station and another MRT station (I think should be boon lay) to Qian Hu Fish Farm to visit those beautiful fishes breed in this farm.

Some of the fishes are cheap and affordable while some can be quite expensive depending on the breed and species as well as their size.

you can even see this there. Haha. It is rare to see lobsters grown in singapore. And I am great to see this there while visiting there. Hope I will be able to find time off to visit there one day.

Oyster Mushrooms

Oyster Mushrooms

It is also quite rare to see oyster mushroom in Singapore farms. Glad to see it. Some of the things sold in the farms are more expensive than dried mushrooms as the items are much more fresher and grown in Singapore. While some of the items are much more cheaper than supermarket. Haha.

Vegetable Field

Vegetable Field in Singapore

Very rare to see such sights in Singapore, right? This is  the vegetable farm that I have visited in the western side of singapore.  Quite good to visit this place as I get to understand how farming is like in Singapore. Sprinklers and netting are essential items for farming.

Too bad I do not get to see hay’s dairy farm. the entry requirements to enter Hay’s diary farm is quite strict and visitors need to make declaration before entry into the farm. I did not get to see much of the things inside the frog farm as well as it was raining cats and dogs that day.

I hope next time when I visit there, I will have a chance to visit Hay’s dairy farm and other interesting farms in Singapore. It is rare to see a different side of Singapore as people always think that Singapore is a city full of high rise buildings.

That’s all folks!!!!
