Sporting fever still on in Singapore?

F1 fever has just ended in Singapore and it had been a thrills and spills for some of the racers. And great lineup of entertainments and activities for the f1 viewer watching the show there.

Soon the sporting fever will shift to the upcoming commonwealth games in New Delhi, India. i just hope the village will be ready on time for the games.

I did not know that there will be also commonwealth youth games hosted too. I did went to internet and read some interesting information on commonwealth youth games. Perhaps singapore can consider to host commonwealth youth games in the future. with singapore’s experience in YOG, I think singapore will do fare better if there is a chance to host commonwealth youth games as it is a smaller scale compared to YOG.

I am not sure on commonwealth games and what other games singapore will be planning to host in the future.

the roads near the stadium area will be closed for the demolition of national stadium. So happy that singapore will build its sports hub. I cannot wait till its completion in 2014 and I will definitely visit there then.

Hope sporting fever will continue in singapore. I also feel that I need to get back to sports to make myself happy as exercise in my favorite sport is a good way to relieve stress.

That’s all folks.

Chinatown

Chinatown, Singapore

Chinatown will be crowded on 18 September due to Mid-Autumn Celebrations. If you do not like there and wish to see more decorations, you can walk further down to central (shopping mall) to see there too.

I went to Central 2 weeks ago and took some photos of some of the decorations near there.

Back View from the bridge

Clarke Quay Area

There are quite a lot of interesting decorations floating on the waters of Clarke Quay area and the view is better during night time due to its lightnings. Those decorations which are floating on the waters are on famous Chinese stories. Did not manage to take photos of that as they were not out on the water then. But I may return on another day to see the decorations during night time if I am free before they remove the decorations.

They also have some Taiwan booths there as well as selling some food and items that may be related to the Chinese Culture and mid-autumn festival.

So what are you waiting for? Considering sightseeing and get a feel of the atmosphere and appreciate the moonlight.

9 September was a special sale event at ALT at the Heeren shop for DBS/POSB card shoppers. The ambience at aLT was great on 9 sept as there were free makeovers at level 1, free neck, shoulder massages and feet spas at level 2 and 3 as well as special offers just for the day. I was glad that I went there to shop that day and enjoyed great offers.

The salegirls are quite friendly as they introduced people to the products they are selling and allow people to try out their products as well as enjoying the shopping experience.

Furthermore, with every $30 purchase in aLT, you will receive a stamp. With the accumulation of a certain number of stamps, the stamps can be used as an exchange for aLT voucher/(s) from at least $5, which you can use it for purchases in aLT.

If you are interested to find out more about aLT, with its latest events and promotions, feel free to visit the store at the Heerens or go to http://www.alt-style.com.sg/about-us/ for more information.

World Physiotherapy Day on 8 Sept 2010

I did not know that World Physiotherapy Day is on 8 Sept 2010. I attended the talk organised by the Physiotherapy Dept and the talk was quite interesting.

I did not know that there are many types of tests to correct the problems we may be facing through the correct posture techniques from walking to balancing, back problems, muscle ache and so on.

I remembered I did some simple pilates exercises last year. Pilates is good for people with back problems. glad to know more knowledge on what to do for certain problems.

Guess I will need to practice correct posture techniques and do some exercises to correct my neck problems using the correct techniques. Haha. as well as strengthen my muscles.
