《葉問3》先行預告 Ip Man 3 Teaser Trailer

Ip Man 3 Making of (Action)

Movie Review:

If you enjoy martial arts and fighting scenes, you will enjoy this movie as it showcases Wing Chun 咏春拳, a form of Chinese Martial Arts which is quite popular in Hong Kong. Muk Yan Jong 木人樁(Wooden Dummy is frequently featured in this movie.

For this action packed movie, it focuses on the moves and the grooves. I would say that Patrick Tam’s imaging for the hooligan was well done. Lynn Hung looked more elegant in her qipao compared to the previous installment of Ip Man 1 & Ip Man 2.

It also showcases the emotional side of Ip Man with his wife and his younger son Ip Ching and jealousy of Cheung Tin Chi who thinks his Wing Chun is authentic compared to Ip Man’s Wing Chun.

Do watch if you like Martial arts.

Recipe: Black Pepper Roasted Chicken with Stuffing (credit to Panasonic Singapore)

Hmmm…. Buying a Turkey is too expensive and a hassle to prepare it. Well you can consider Roasted Chicken instead. Cheaper and value for money.

Preparation for roast chicken @omysg #panasoniccookingsg #christmas @panasonicsg

The Chicken has to be marinated 1 day before roasting. This is to ensure great taste for the chicken.

Ingredients:
1.4 kg chicken
1 ¾ tsp salt
1½ tbsp black pepper
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp dark soya sauce
1 tsp light soya sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp ginger juice (need to grate the ginger slices to get the ginger juice)

A post shared by Hui Yan Koh (@flyingtazos55) on

I never heard people used steam from an oven for making a chocolate cake. This sounded interesting. This Recipe inspired by Diana Gale (http://thedomesticgoddesswannabe.com/), winner of Singapore Blog Awards Best Cooking Blog 2014 and 2015

Ingredients:
180g butter (room temperature)
180g castor sugar
200g full cream evaporated milk
2 eggs (beaten with fork)
100g plain flour
50g cocoa powder
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp vanillin (Vanilla powder)
2 tbsp rum (optional)
8” round removable cake tin lined with baking paper (or springform cake tin)

For the ganache:
80ml milk
200g semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method:
1. Place butter, sugar and milk in a casserole, cook on medium power for 5 mins, stir-in-between. Stir and leave to cool for about 10-13 mins.
2. Add beaten eggs and rum into the butter mixture.
3. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and vanillin into a large mixing bowl.
4. Pour butter mixture into the dry ingredients.
5. Stir until the mixture is well mixed.
6. Pour mixture into a lined baking tin.
7. Lift the baking tin about 10cm off the table top and drop it onto the table top to remove the larger bubbles. Repeat twice more.
8. Set to steam mode # 2 for 55 mins or until an inserted skewer emerges cleanly.
9. Cool cake completely in the baking tin before removing.
10. To make the chocolate ganache, heat milk in a medium casserole on high power for 50 secs. (Heat in microwave oven)
11. Stir in chocolate chips, cook on high power 2 ½ mins., stir-in-between.
12. Stir chocolate mixture till smooth and well mix, pour over cake and spread with spatula to cover the whole cake.
13. Chill the cake before serving.

Visit to Trick Eye Museum Singapore

Trickeye Museum Logo

Trick Eye is short for ‘Trick of the eye’, which refers to an art technique that turns two-dimensional paintings into three-dimensional images through the use of optical illusions. With that, 2D paintings on the museum walls, floors and ceilings appear to pop out of the surface and come to life. Visitors are more than welcome to explore the various themed galleries with their eyes, hands and even cameras. Step inside the paintings to complete a visual narrative with your creative poses, and watch a “tricky” story unfold before your camera. At Trick Eye Museum, you’ll be creating unforgettable memories with friends and family amid fun and laughter, with a dash of educational and cultural enrichment.

Thank you The Influencer Network and Trick Eye Museum Singapore for this wonderful invitation. I had tons of fun posing photos and upload on my .instagram account.

Preview: Flower Dome @ Garden By the Bay

Sorry for the super-late post as I was busy with my project and studies for the past few months. All the ticket holders for 20th World Orchid Show were entitled for entry to Flower Dome preview from 14-20 Nov 2011 from 10am to 9pm.

Of course, I was so excited to visit Gardens by the Bay since I had the 20th WOC ticket. As what I know, there is indeed a long bridge from Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre to Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Gardens by the Bay. The queue for the shuttle bus was quite long and it was faster to walk from Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre to Gardens by the Bay.

Walked all the way to the Gardens by the Bay via the long bridge & entered the Cloud Dome. It was very beautiful to see so many gardens while walking towards the destination. Chinese, Malay and Indian Gardens. Wow.

A picture taken in the Chinese Garden

You can try walking through this big rock! Haha

Indian-styled art decor

Welcome to the Flower Dome. So many beautiful plants and cacti inside the there. Haha.

Flower Dome features a few gardens such as Australian Garden, Mediterranean Garden and Olive Grove,  South American garden, the Baobabs and succulent garden.

Is not it wonderful to see so many temperate plants within the Flower Dome? The place was not so hot.

Flower Blooming

Agave

Is it this agave very big? Quite fascinating to see that.

Looks like flower right?

So cute to see Mummy turtle with baby turtle decor!

A place for people to rest?

Do you dare to rest at an area that is surrounded by so many cacti?

Trying to get poked by the cactus spike?

I did attempted to do that. Don’t worry, I did not get prick by the cactus. Is not it wonderful that cactus spike helps to reduce the amount of water lost for the cactus at a desert area. So that cactus can still survive at such a water scarce place.

So many rocks? Looks like crystals that have not been polished.

So cool…

Baobab

Did not expect to see so furry flowers for cactus.

I could not imagine that the cactus could grow as tall as this length!

Amethyst crystals!

Nice Orchid Statue inside the flower dome

I did not expect to see nice orchid statue inside the flower dome.

Australian Garden

Resting area

I guess there may be some more new additions to be added to the Australian Garden area.

South African Garden

South African Garden layout map

South American Garden Layout map

Mediterranean Garden

Some of the images appeared blur due to low light setting and the sun had setted then. I could not see those plant well by then.

It’s difficult to see the beauty of  the plants at night.

Standing tall….

Approaching the ground floor area soon with the beautiful orchids display. Is not nice and colourful with different shapes and sizes?

Is it the night sky look great with this?

I think it was indeed an eye-opener for me to see so many beautiful plants and flowers from all over the world at 1 place in Singapore. Of course the best timing to visit the Flower dome will be during daytime than night time. I was there during the evening time and it was so dark when the sun had set and I cannot see the plants well.

Anyway, Gardens by the Bay will be soon open to public on 29 June 2012. You can take bus 400 or walk via the long bridge near Marina Bay Sands or take free shuttle bus from Marina Bay MRT station to Marina Barrage and walk towards there.

Access to the outdoor gardens at Bay South is free, with key attractions like the Conservatories and Aerial Walkway being chargeable. Standard tickets will be available online from mid June onwards. Please visit http://www.gardensbythebay.org.sg/visitor-information/hours-admission.php for the admission charges and details.

Thank you for reading! I am looking forward for its official opening end of this month!
